OC Citizens Foundation to Host Informational Forum Exploring Orange County’s Trails

Sugar Loaf, N.Y. – February 20, 2015 – The Orange County Citizens Foundation, in conjunction with the Orange County Department of Parks & Recreation Department and the Orange County Planning Department, is hosting a forum exploring Orange County trails on Thursday, March 26, 2015.

Those interested in attending the forum will learn about trails/non-motorized transportation opportunities in western Orange County, discuss efforts to promote collaboration with public and not for profit groups in Orange County and the surrounding region, and be encouraged to ask questions and share suggestions for improvement and growth of the trail system.

“Trails are incredible assets to our communities,” said Citizens Foundation President Nancy Proyect. “Not only for recreational, health and environmental reasons, but also as economic and eco-tourism drivers. This is a great opportunity for the community to come together and collaborate actively to promote innovation in establishing non-motorized transportation options.”

The forum will take place at the Town of Deerpark Town Hall, 420 U.S. 209, Huguenot, N.Y., from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. For more information or to register, contact Bonnie Neucall at 845-469-9459 or bonnie@occitizensfoundation.org.
